Who is Mz. Fiona?
Mz. Fiona is a singer/songwriter and music educator who is passionate about encouraging self-confidence and freedom of expression in others. She's started DoReFi to give students more access to experiences and community. When you show up to your lesson, Mz. Fiona will be your instructor. Her lessons form around the belief that connection to performance, skill and instrumentation is best when approached holistically.
Why Do Re Fi lessons?
Each lesson is built around the individual. Our lessons are adaptive, explorative, encourage critical thinking, and always makes room for play. Students of Mz. Fiona's methods become confident and connected performers, songwriters, singers, and instrumentalist, with a life-long love for music. DoReFi is a place where minds and hearts of all kinds can learn, grow, and connect with music uniquely.
What's the vision?
We aim to be a collaborative and supportive environment for students to grow, neurodivergent minds to be empowered, creatives to belong, and for young artists and instrumentalists to connect! It's our hope that Do Re Fi would grow into a thriving community of artists and musicians. The future of Do Re Fi Academy will include elements like: group songwriting sessions, rehearsals in bands, masterclasses, visits to recording studios or live shows, regular performance opportunities, and a safe facilitation of young artists earning income through music and learning through the process.
